Brandon Johnson

Brandon Johnson conducts the Concert Band and manages percussion related items at Truman High School. He is also the percussion teacher at Bridger Middle School, Bingham Middle School and Pioneer Ridge Middle School. He received his Bachelors degree in Music Eductaion in 2003 from Missouri State University and a Masters in Education from Baker University in 2012. Brandon has served as the percussion coordinator for MCCGA and has been the Vice President of Middle School Bands for the Kansas City Metro District #3. In addition to his own compositions and arrangements used by Truman High School, Mr. Johnson is on staff with Custom Music Solutions. This company creates original marching band shows for several programs across Missouri. Brandon Johnson also enjoys performing with different music ensembles including the Northwinds Symphonic Band of which he is a board member, and the Kansas City Chiefs Rumble Drumline where he plays bass drum. He is also a member of NAfME, MMEA, MOAJE, and Missouri Bandmasters Association.
