Emily Dawson - Lead Head Start Teacher

1. How long have you been in Education? 24 years total.
2. How long have you been at Hanthorn? 13 years at Hanthorn.
3. What is your favorite part about teaching PreK? My favorite part of PreK is helping our little friends find their hidden strengths & showing them how to use those strengths to make our classroom a better place.
4. What are your hobbies outside of work? I enjoy building things & working on remodeling projects around my house.

Amanda Hopwood - Head Start Teaching Assistant

1. How long have you been in Education? I have been a TA for the ISD for 8 years.
2. How long have you been at Hanthorn? This is my 4th year at Hanthorn.
3. What is your favorite part about teaching PreK? My favorite part of teaching PreK is being able to watch them learn and grow. I delight in being able to witness and be a part of their accomplishments. I also love their imaginations at this age. It is so fun to be silly and play with them throughout the day.
4. What are your hobbies outside of work? My hobbies outside of work are catching uip on my favorite tv shows, reading, and spending time with my dogs.
