Kicking Off the Season of Giving Thanks
Little Blue Sharks were joined recently by members of the Kansas City Chiefs, the American Red Cross, and servicemen from the United States Marines and the United States Navy. Students spent some time this morning supporting efforts toward giving thanks and appreciation to those men and women serving in our Armed Forces this holiday season. Chiefs’ players and active servicemen sat side-by-side with our Sharks as they made cards of appreciation. These cards will be distributed to active duty men and women that will be away from their families serving abroad over the holidays. This event is just one of the many activities the Kansas City Chiefs have partnered with local organizations as part of their Military Appreciation recognition that will be highlighted during their November 24th game.
Sharks Celebrate with Grandparents
Our Little Blue Sharks were joined by over 225 grandparents and special seniors to begin their school day. Little Blue kicked off the school day by providing breakfast for our special guests and students before participating in activities throughout the school. Little Blue would like to thank our PTA for sponsoring this great event and would like to extend a special thanks to the hundreds of guests that joined us today. During this season of giving thanks, we want to express our appreciation to the support that our Little Blue community provides to our Sharks!
Principal Jeff Williams
Little Blue's mission is to empower our community of learners to develop skills for life-long learning in a safe and positive environment.
Support the Giving Tree
Little Blue Elementary PTA is sponsoring a “Giving Tree” this holiday season to help support some of our families at Little Blue Elementary who are facing difficult challenges this year. The tree will be located at the front of the school and our goal is to collect items that will be used to provide additional support throughout the course of the school year. If you would like to learn more about this effort, click HERE.
Become a Dorsal Fin Donor
When you reserve a commemorative dorsal fin for Little Blue Elementary you’re not just investing in a keepsake that will be around for years to come, you’re also investing in our school community. Proceeds from every fin will support the Little Blue PTA in funding field trips, student activities, Family Fun Nights, teacher appreciation and much, much more! Fins start at just $50. Contact the school office for additional information.
