Mission Statement

To provide comprehensive building & grounds maintenance programs that improve and extend the life of facilities and ensure that they are attractive, comfortable, safe, energy efficient, and functional for all authorized building users and approved organizations.  To deliver quality purchasing and distribution to students staff and vendors while seeking the most economical, effective, and efficient acquisition and payment of goods and services.

 

Objective

Facilities and Purchasing has a total of 200 full-time employees working toward maintaining and serving 30 school sites — 2 Early Education, 20 Elementary Schools, 4 Middle Schools, 3 High Schools and 1 Alternative School.  They provide Custodial, Grounds, Maintenance, Purchasing and Distribution services. The objective of the Custodial Services is to maintain a safe, sanitary, and healthy environment for both staff and students.  The purpose of the Grounds is to maintain large lawn, landscaping, and sports turf areas in a manner that supports the educational goals of the district.  The goal of the Maintenance is to maintain equipment and buildings, throughout its expected useful life.  The plan of the Purchasing and Distribution is to deliver quality products, provide exceptional customer service and create a safe and secure environment.
