Todd Reinhardt 

Todd Reinhardt has been the director of bands at Truman High School since 1994. His duties include the Patriot Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, and Pep Band. In addition to his duties at the high school, Mr. Reinhardt also teaches at Pioneer Ridge Middle School as a co teacher for the 7th and 8th grade bands. Prior to the Independence School District, he served as band director for Mountain Grove Public Schools. Mr. Reinhardt graduated from Missouri State with a B.S. in Education in 1989 and completed a Masters degree in Education in 1998. He completed his Specialist in Secondary Administration in June 2013 from the University of Central Missouri. He holds memberships in NAfME, MMEA, Missouri Bandmasters Association, and is an elected member of Phi Beta Mu. He has served as the Kansas City District #3 Jazz V.P. as well as President of the KC Metro #3 District. Mr. Reinhardt is the past president of the Lambda Chapter of Phi Beta Mu. He resides in Independence, MO with his wife Kristen and his two children Connor and Ella.

Brandon Johnson

Brandon Johnson conducts the Concert Band and manages percussion related items throughout the year. He also teaches beginning percussion at Bridger Middle School as well as 7th grade intermediate percussion at both Bingham and Pioneer Ridge Middle Schools in Independence. He received his Bachelors degree in Music Eductaion in 2003 from Missouri State University and a Masters in Education from Baker University in 2012. Brandon has served as the percussion coordinator for MCCGA and has been the Vice President of Middle School Bands for the Kansas City Metro District #3. In addition to his own compositions and arrangements used by Truman High School, Mr. Johnson is on staff with Custom Music Solutions. This company creates original marching band shows for several programs across Missouri. Brandon Johnson also enjoys performing with different music ensembles including the Northwinds Symphonic Band of which he is a board member, and the Kansas City Chiefs Rumble Drumline where he plays bass drum. He is also a member of NAfME, MMEA, MOAJE, and Missouri Bandmasters Association.

 Josh Hurt

Josh Hurt is originally from Independence, Missouri and attended Truman High School. He graduated with his Bachelors degree in Music Education from Missouri State University in 2006 and also with a Masters of Education in Athletics/Activities Administration in 2013. While at MSU, Mr. Hurt performed with multiple university ensembles, the Springfield Symphony, The Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps, and local performing groups. From 2007-2013, Josh Hurt was the Assistant Band Director for Branson RIV School District. In his spare time, Mr. Hurt enjoys playing disc golf, watching movies, and being outside. His professional affiliations include: NAfME, Missouri State Teachers Association, Phi Mu Alpha, and the Professional Disc Golf Association.
