About Procter
Start: 8:15 a.m.
Dismiss: 3:18 p.m.
Car-riders and walkers enter the north (front) door each morning beginning at 7:55 a.m. Car-riders are picked-up on the east side of the building each afternoon begining at 3:05 p.m. We ask that parents remain in vehicles during pick-up and display the yellow student pick-up card as staff will assist your child into your vehicle. There are colored paws on the sidewalk for our cars. During times of high traffic flow in our car rider loop, we understand this process may be slowed. Walkers are dismissed out of the front door each afternoon. We ask that parents wait outside until students are dismissed.
Alexander Procter was the second of eleven children. He spent time on his family farm in Kentucky and Missouri. He assisted in clearing and improving two farms near Moberly, MO. Upon graduating from Bethany College in Virginia, he became a reverend at the First Christian Church in the late 1800s. He was well known for his ministry and thought of fondly by many in Independence.
Alexander Procter Elementary is built on his original family property.
