Senior Parent/Graduation FAQs - Helpful information & frequently asked questions.

The following are important dates that are coming up for the Senior Class of 2025. Please note these dates may be changed based on school calendar changes.  Most events are for students only. All students should attend meetings when possible. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to Nicole Herod at nicole_herod@isdschools.org.  

Dance Requirements:

Attendance:    90% or better including Prom. Turn in medical notes as they are received to be sure your child's attendance is coded correctly. Time can be made up to clear NGs, but not to improve attendance for a dance.

Academics:    Passing 7 of 8 classes.

Behavior:    No major ISS or OSS

Obligations:    Seniors who have not satisfied their obligations by graduation may not receive their diploma at the graduation ceremony. Please check MySchoolBucks.com and work with Mrs. Jeanette Wickman, THS bookkeeper to clear obligations sooner than later.

SEMESTER 1:

September 12     Senior panoramic picture 8:45am during PAT, THS stadium (weather permitting) All seniors are                             encouraged to attend. 

   Order packets available in front office or online.

October 5           Homecoming Dance, 7-10pm THS small gym

October 8/18      Senior Pictures makeup,Formal Yearbook Images Only / No Sitting Fee Required, small gym                                 7am-2pm (8th A-M, 18th L-Z)

October 15 & 16    Parent-Teacher Confs, Tues., 3:30-7:30pm & Wed. 3:30-7:00 pm

October 17          Senior Class Meeting-8:45 am in the auditorium. Jostens will distribute

                            Ordering information for graduation announcements and cap and gown   All seniors are                                        encouraged to attend. 

October 25        Jostens here during lunch in cafeteria(lunch) to pick up graduation orders 

November 1        Jostens here during lunch in cafeteria(apprx 10:30-Noon) to pick up graduation orders 

December 19      Final Graduation Announcement & Cap/Gown orders

Dec 23-January 6     Winter Break,  Students return January 7th, 2023

SEMESTER 2:

Jan. 9th          Senior Class Meeting During PAT

Jan. 17th        Pack the House basketball game and dance(dance ends at 10:30pm)

Jan. 23            Senior Parent Meeting (6:30pm0  during Parent Camp (5:30-7:30 PM)

February 19     ISD Foundation Scholarship Application Deadline

February 20     Senior Mtg. during PAT

February 22     Courtwarming Dance-at THS 7pm-10pm

March 11 & 12     Parent-Teacher Confs, Tues. 3:30-7:30pm, Weds. 3:30-7:00pm

March     27     Graduation Announcements delivered during lunch in the cafeteria (approx 10:40-Noon)

April 4          Graduation Announcements delivered during lunch in the cafeteria (10:27-Noon)

April 10th      ISD Academy Awards at Hilton Garden Inn

April 17        8:45 am auditorium  Senior Class Meeting, Jostens will distribute caps and gowns

April 24         Cap and gown delivery during lunch in cafeteria (approx. 10:30-Noon)

April 19th       Prom

                       Hilton Garden Inn 7pm-10pm. Doors open at 6:30. No admittance after 8pm.

                       PROJECT PROM 11-pm-4am location TBD. 

May 1st        Tentative: 7 pm auditorium Senior Awards Night-Truman High School.

May 9th        Tentative: Senior Chromebook Check and Legacy Walk (AM) (Wear cap & gown)

                     Report Directly to Cafeteria by 7:15 am.

FRIDAY May 16th    Graduation. 6:30 pm at Truman High School. Students must arrive by 5:30 pm and  CANNOT BE LATE. Each family receives 1 parking pass that includes their senior, so please plan accordingly. Gates/seating will open at 5:30pm
