New teachers will start at their respective schools from 9:00-11:00.  New teachers will travel to Central Office - 201 N Forest Ave, Independence, MO 64050 for lunch and a district-wide presentation.

New Teacher Academy

New Teacher Academy will be held at Truman High School- 3301 S Noland Rd, Independence, MO 64055.  Breakfast will be served from 7:45-8:15 each morning.  Learning sessions run from 8:30-3:30 each day, with lunch provided.  Photos for ID badges will be taken during New Teacher Academy.

Sped New Teacher Academy will be held at Central Office - 201 N Forest Ave, Independence, MO 64050.  8:30am-3:30pm - 1 hour lunch on your own

Mandatory Follow Up Sessions (1st and 2nd year teachers)

New Teacher Academy Follow-Up Sessions will be held at Central Office at 201 N Forest Avenue, Independence, MO 64050.  Attendance is mandatory for first and second year teachers.  If you do not attend, your paycheck will be docked.
